His fourth season topping 50 goals, Bobby Hull netted 58 during the 1968-69 NHL season, and we offer a signed "banana hook" stick used by the Golden Jet to secure his 49th and 50th goals of the season, which occurred on March 5, 1969 vs the New York Rangers. This was the first time any player in NHL history scored 50 goals in four seasons! A Northland Custom Pro Glass Fused model, “B Hull” appears stamped over the shaft with "9" handwritten, with additional stamps from team supplier Gonzo’s over each side. The original black tape is in place over the blade and shaved handle/knob, with Hull signing the upper shaft and adding a personalization (this is modern, not done during the era the stick was used). "#49, 50 1969" is also handwritten near the knob. The stick exhibits nice game-use with wear to the taped section of blade along with a crack at the toe, with a few marks to the lower shaft. A portion of one side of the shaft has also been shellacked over the signature. Hull's 49th goal occurred at 18:00 of the first, with Chico Maki and André Boudrias assisting, while his 50th was plotted at 1:43 of the third, with Maki again assisting. Hull personally gifted this stick years ago to our consignor, a good friend of his.
