Recognizing a fine career which included five berths on NHL All-Star teams, this inspiring 14-karat gold ring was presented to Jack Stewart upon his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1964. Known for his punishing bodychecks, Stewart is said to have gotten his “Black Jack” nickname after one of his dazed victims skated back to the bench asking who hit him with a black jack. Stewart broke in with the Red Wings in 1938 and helped them to Stanley Cup championships in 1943 and 1950, before finishing his career in 1952 after two seasons with Chicago. Simple gold ring features the Hall of Fame logo surrounded by a black stone on the front while scripted engraving on the interior of the band is “J.S. Stewart – 6-9-64”. Also stamped “14K”, the size 11 ring exhibits moderate wear.
