The first of Billy Smith’s four Stanley Cup wins with the New York Islanders is commemorated by the HOF goalie’s
1979-80 personal miniature trophy. Battlin’ Billy went 15-4 with a shutout and a 2.80 GAA in the playoffs as the Islanders took out Los Angeles, Boston and Buffalo before defeating Philadelphia in a six-game final decided by Bob Nystrom’s unforgettable overtime goal. Standing a majestic 13” tall, this silver-plated miniature Stanley Cup displays “New York Islanders 1979-80” engraved at the top of the barrel with the names of HOFers Torrey, Arbour and Devellano among the executives and staff below it. Captain Denis Potvin, Conn Smythe winner Bryan Trottier, Smith and fellow HOFers Bossy and Gillies among the three columns of player names at the bottom. Absolutely beautifully preserved trophy has the original green felt bottom on the black wood base. Comes with Billy Smith’s signed LOA.
