Running back Bill Symons rushed his way into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame while wearing these Argonauts game-worn football pants from 1967-73. Also included is a modern Argonauts ceremony jersey worn by Symons, who won the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player award in 1968 when he became the first player in Argos history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. The double blue Argonauts pants have Rawlings size 34 tagging sewn on the inside panel behind the laceup front closure. Number “17” is written in black marker inside the waistband on the right side and a few numbers overwritten in black marker sit on the left side. Game wear shows in sweat stains inside the waistband and pilling throughout. The Argonauts #33 jersey with Symons’ surname sewn on in white twill letters on a nameplate features the old CFL logo patch on the front seam of the collar and a small size “46” flag tag sewn on the left front tail. Huge Argonauts patches are sewn on the shoulders and the numbers on the front, back and both sleeves are sewn on white, navy blue and light blue triple twill, while the two stripes on each cuff are heat screened vinyl. Comes with Bill Symons’ signed letter of authenticity.
