Team Canada claimed the Canada Cup for the fourth time in five tries in 1991, defeating Team USA in a two-game sweep in the final. Team Canada 1991 goalie Bill Ranford took tournament MVP honors and Wayne Gretzky led all scorers with 12 points despite sitting out the second game of the final after a hit by US defenseman Gary Suter in Game 1. This personal Canada Cup trophy was presented to head equipment manager Barrie Stafford. It is very nicely preserved and stands 10” tall featuring a stylized maple leaf mounted on top of a black puck-shaped base with the “MST Bronze Ltd” manufacturer’s sticker affixed to the red felt underneath. Comes with Barrie Stafford’s signed LOA.
