Jean Beliveau Foundation Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/11/2008
Recalling Jean Beliveau’s prolific two years of senior hockey with the Quebec Aces of the QSHL, this marvelous vintage-style sweater is from the folks at Ebbets Field Flannels and features a lovely felt crest sewn on the front. Tie-neck style jersey has the old wool “feel” to it, with a red-on-white felt number “9” sewn on the back. Size is “2XL” and the condition is like-new. Jean Beliveau’s marker autograph is penned at the right breast area, with the icon adding the “#9” he wore with the Aces. Jean won the scoring title in both 1951-52 and ’52-53, rifling 45 and 50 goals respectively as the Canadiens waited impatiently for him to arrive in Montreal! Obtained from Jean Beliveau’s daughter Helene, the sensational jersey will come with Mr. Beliveau’s signed LOA.
