An accomplished hitter topping the .300 plateau eleven times during his lengthy career, Al Oliver saw MLB action with seven different clubs, with a World Series won with the Pittsburgh Pirates, in 1971. This especially desirable Montreal Expos jersey was worn by the seven-time All-Star in 1982, a season the Ohio native served as National League batting champion as well as RBI leader. A Rawlings label with “42” sizing is affixed to the collar, with “82 1 Oliver” chain-stitched over a swatch added within the inside left tail. Featuring a tackle twill team crest with “Expos” placed beneath in individual red twill letters, “0” appears over the reverse and right breast in matching material, with “Oliver” arching over the upper reverse. The jersey also sports the rarely seen 1982 All-Star Game crest over the left sleeve. Exhibiting just a single black dot at the base of the vertical red striping on the right side, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition.
