Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
The first player in all of professional sports to have his jersey number retired, Ace Bailey spent 8 seasons in a Maple leafs jersey, with HOF enshrinement occurring in 1975. We have an original J.S. Pedley watercolor portrait of the legendary star, with this replicating his 1933-34 Goudey Sport Kings hockey card. Measuring 18" x 22 ½”, this attractive and well-depicted work is on textured watercolor stock and remains in gorgeous condition, with bold and vibrant colouration. Begging for a quality frame and the perfect accompaniment to the matching Eddie Shore Goudey Sport Kings painting also available in this auction, this unique, one-of-a-kind work will please even the most discerning collector.
