This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Keeping up the momentum and hype that was created by Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin as part of the rookie class from the previous season, the 2006-07 crop of first-year talent was headlined by players like Evgeni Malkin and Anze Kopitar, both of whom became instrumental in numerous Stanley Cup championships won by their respective teams. Offered here, is this complete assembly of Upper Deck's 2006-07 Young Guns rookie set from their Series 1 and Series 2 releases. Paced by the examples of Malkin and Kopitar that have both been graded by Beckett, who have deemed each worthy of MINT 9 designations, subgrades include marks of Centering 9.5, Corners 9, Edges 9 and Surface 9.5 on the label of the Malkin and Centering 10, Corners 9.5, Edges 9 and Surface 8.5 on the Kopitar. Additionally, the cards of Alex Radulov and Paul Stastny have also been slabbed by Beckett who have once again graded both with marks of MINT 9 and subgrades of Centering 9.5, Corners 8.5, Edges 9 and Surface 9.5 on the Radulov plus Centering 10, Corners 9, Edges 9 and Surface 9 on the Stastny with all four holders remaining in excellent condition. For the rest of the set, all existing in raw ungraded form, key names other than those already listed include Phil Kessel, Shea Weber, Jordan Staal, Kris Letang, Joe Pavelski and Dustin Byfuglien with all remaining in the condition range of EX-MT to NM or better while all the other cards are found to be in the same condition as well. A fantastic set from one of the best rookie crop's in the modern era, don't miss out on these!
