Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The fifth and final Canada Cup, the 1991 tournament was memorable for Canada as they were the only team to ever win the tournament without incurring a loss. This Canada Cup trophy and circular medal with Canada Cup logo and nation emblems, are the exact same as the examples players and executives would have received. The trophy features a sectioned chrome maple leaf identical to the Team Canada jersey crests mounted atop a heavy metal puck. Standing 10” in height and weighing over 4 lbs, the bottom has been covered in felt with the “MST Bronze Limited” manufacturing sticker still adhered.
The accompanying medal also from the tournament is 2 ¼” round with the original red and white hanging ribbon still in place. The front features the Canada Cup logo with emblems on back for all six participating nations. Both items are in excellent condition with no issues to note.
