Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

The meeting of two powerhouses, the 1976 Stanley Cup finals featured a dominant Philadelphia Flyers squad making their third-straight finals appearance, taking on a Montreal Canadiens contingent that lost only 11 contests during the regular season and featured nine HOFers. The Habs would prove to be too much for the boys from Broad Street, winning the series four straight. This sterling silver 1976 NHL Stanley Cup press pin is approx 2” in length and figural in design, with an enamel NHL shield crest affixed above, and “1976” and “News” below. The reverse features dual threaded fasteners, with the lower example just slightly bent, with “Sterling Silver” stamped. The pin itself remains in gorgeous condition, with no surface marks or wear, ideal for display.
