Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Putting together this set of 36 autographed cards commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 1972 Summit Series is extremely difficult. As part of a 1992 release by “Future Trends” the 35 members of Team Canada 1972 and HOF Russian goalie Vladislav Tretiak each signed a limited number of their cards, which were inserted into packs at a rate of only one or two per case. Specially coated with a swirl pattern over the gold ink signatures, the cards feature series hero Henderson, the Esposito and Mahovlich brothers, HOFers Clarke and Savard and deceased Team Canada 1972 members Goldsworthy and Martin, and the rest of the team. There are four graded cards here: Dryden, White, Hadfield and the late Gary Bergman. You'll remember the drama and excitement every time you look at this full set!
The cards graded by KSA include Hadfield (9.5 NGM), Bergman (9 Mint), White and Dryden (both 8.5 NMM+).
