Overtime Auction #7
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/18/2006
Great collection here of mostly publications which were the result of the famous 8-game series in 1972 between the Soviet Union and the best Canadian-born players in the National Hockey League. Highlights include an official program from the four games in Canada (EX condition with browning down the right side), an official home TV program for the games in Moscow (EX condition with some not-too-dramatic pen marks on some of the photos) and a very seldom seen press kit issued by Hockey Canada and detailing the dates of the games and profiling players on each team. A letter from Alan Eagleson (signed "Alan") to NHL statistian Ron Andrews thanking him for his help and a menu from a dinner in honor of the series held September 7, 1972 in Vancouver are also cool oddball pieces. Six books about the series, including the classic "Twenty-seven Days In September" and Harry Sinden's "Hockey Showdown" complete the lot.
