Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
An intriguing trip back in time is offered with our consignor’s smashing ensemble of unopened hockey card packs and boxes. The wonderful 10-cent pack era included Topps cards from 1971-72, with a Bill Dineen-lookalike Red Wings player gracing the top here and the story booklet inserts advertised on the front panel. Should the new owner decide to break open the Baseball Card Exchange shrink wrap and bust some packs, possible high grade pulls would be led by Ken Dryden’s rookie card and cards of superstars Orr, Hull, Howe and Clarke. Oh, the temptation and decision! We do not spot any unsightly condition issues; a little blue color loss on top and blue transfer on the bottom, where a BBCE sticker and certification number appears, is to mention, along with slight wear at the corners. Topps bubble gum and hockey cards – what a treat!
