Featuring the incomparable Bobby Orr along with both Ken Dryden and Guy Lafleur early-on in their HOF careers, we offer a collection of 50 1971-72 NHLPA Pro Star Promotions postcards. A blank-backed issue with each postcard sporting a white border with both NHL and NHLPA logos. Including examples of Boston vs Minnesota, Vancouver vs Montreal, Vancouver vs Atlanta, Toronto vs N.Y. Rangers, Toronto vs Montreal, Toronto vs Detroit, Toronto vs Boston, N.Y. Rangers vs St. Louis, N.Y. Rangers vs Montreal, N.Y. Rangers vs Minnesota, N.Y. Rangers vs Chicago, N.Y. Rangers vs Buffalo, N.Y. Rangers vs Boston, Montreal vs N.Y. Rangers, Montreal vs Minnesota, Montreal vs Detroit, Montreal vs Boston, Boston vs Philadelphia, Boston vs N.Y. Rangers and Boston vs Montreal, Most of the postcards display nicely with lower technical grades, showing flaws such as corner and edge wear throughout the group as well in some cases toning and marks on the reverses and/or foxing spots plus tape marks/residue.
Also including a group of twenty-one (21) 1971-72 Montreal Canadiens Pro Star postcards, the blank reverse examples that all feature facsimile signatures includes notable examples of rookies Ken Dryden and Guy Lafleur as well as names such as Henri Richard, Yvan Cournoyer, Rejean Houle, Terry Harper, Jacques Laperriere, Guy Lapointe, Claude Larose, Jacques Lemaire, Frank and Pete Mahovlich, Phil Myre, Larry Pleau, Phil Roberto, Jim Roberts, Serge Savard, Marc Tardif, Jean-Claude Tremblay, Denis DeJordy and Pierre Bouchard. Presenting in a simlar condition as its NHLPA counterparts, the group shows light edge and corner wear throughout as well as minor toning/foxing spots on some.
Lastly, rounding out the collection is a group of eighteen (18) 1960s Canadiens postcards, most featuring facsimile signatures, of names such as Beliveau (x2 - both different), Johnson, Goyette, Marshall, Richard (x2 - both different) and others. All in overall good condition, showing edge and corner wear throughout, a couple also sport things like creases or marks on their reverses.
