This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Vintage rubber produced following the NHL expansion that concluded the Original Six era is offered, with a collection of desirable pucks totaling twenty-four, spanning from 1967-68 to circa 1974-75. Included, there is a 1967-68 Converse Flyers puck with rubberized logos and patent number, four 1968-69 Converse pucks with rubberized logos for the Bruins, Rangers, Flyers and Red Wings, a pair of 1969-77 Converse pucks with screened logos for the Flyers and Black Hawks and a pair of matching circa 1974-75 WHA pucks for the Houston Aeros. Rounding out the lot, there is also an early-1970s Biltrite blue puck, a pair of circa 1962-64 Art Ross AHL practice pucks with rubberized crests and a group of twelve 1970s Viceroy pucks with rubberized logos (no team logos), most likely produced for practice use.
The majority of the pucks in the collection show moderate wear, with some showing heavier wear/damage, including the Bruins 1968-69 Converse puck (part of the Converse logo is missing, with a large chip on the Bruins-logo side), the Flyers 1967-68 Converse puck (part of the Converse logo is missing, with the Flyers logo darkened), the two 1969-77 Converse pucks (both have wear to the Converse logos) and one of the 1962-64 Art Ross AHL practice pucks (a few small holes are visible over both the front and reverse). A few of the 1970s Viceroy pucks also show surface wear.
