Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The Buffalo Bisons enjoyed a winning record over their three-decade existence in the American Hockey league. This lot includes 2 Bisons pucks, 9 media photos and a Bisons playoff program from 1969-70. First we have 2 identical high-grade Buffalo Bisons AHL pucks from the late-1960s. The first puck features light wear to the rubberized “Buffalo” logo and also includes a few small nicks to the puck, with a perfect AHL logo on the reverse. An accompanying note mentions that “Dennis Kassian believes this was his first goal puck with Buffalo in the 1966-67 season”. The second Bisons puck is in gorgeous condition with just some light wear and darkening to the rubberized Buffalo and AHL logos. Next we have 9 different 8” x 10” media photos featuring 7 showing game action, while the last 2 feature full team images from 1967-68 and 1968-69 respectively. These show expected handling wear including the odd crease or pencil notation. Finally rounding out this neat lot we have a Buffalo Bisons program from 1969-70 featuring a playoff game against the Springfield Kings. With intact center line-up page, the 34 page program is complete and in very good condition.
