Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
One of the nicer groupings we have ever offered and needing just a Toronto Maple Leafs example for completion, this Original Six puck collection feature’s examples for the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Chicago Black Hawks and Detroit Red Wings. Sporting rubberized team crests along with Art Ross labels over each reverse, the Bruins, Canadiens and Black Hawks pucks were the first to feature team logos, produced from 1958-62, with the Rangers and Red Wings pucks originating from the 1962-64 period. Each label/team crest remains clean and displayable, with just light wear overall to the pucks themselves, with just a small flat chip to the Canadiens puck and a few faint blemishes to the Habs logo.
As mentioned, the group remains in gorgeous overall condition, with surface residue visible encompassing each label/team crest (the Red Wings puck remains largely unaffected), with this possibly resulting from the labels being cleaned.
