Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
All suiting up for the Chicago Black Hawks during the final years of the National Hockey League's "Original Six" era, the likes of Bobby Hull, Pierre Pilote and Phil Esposito would combine to play a total of 3235 games in the NHL with all three going on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after their playing days. Offered here, we present this trio of cards signed by Hull, Pilote and Esposito. Including Hull's 1959-60 Topps offering, Pilote's 1957-58 Topps rookie card and Esposito's 1965-66 Topps rookie card, each player has signed over the front of their respective card with bold blue marker ink signatures that display without issue. With all three (3) signatures having been deemed "authentic" by Beckett, the autographs of both Pilote and Esposito have been assessed signature marks of "10" for their efforts. Of note, only those two (2) autographs have been graded but not the three (3) cards themselves. All housed in Beckett holders that remain in excellent condition, the Hull card sports centering issues plus surface and corner wear while the Pilote rookie displays with corner wear, creases and surface indents. Additionally, the Esposito card shows heavy creasing throughout as well as surface wear, corner wear, edge wear and centering issues.
