Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
From Imperial Tobacco’s ultra-challenging C57 set of 1912-13 are these recently-encapsulated relics, with the issue’s most desirable and valuable card among them, that of hockey immortal Georges Vezina. The set’s first numbered card has rounded corners but no apparent/obvious creases and received a mark of GOOD 2 from PSA, the firm obliged to add a (MC) qualifier due to the lack of a right border. Still an inspiring card to hold and behold, it is joined by that of fellow Hall of Fame goaltender Paddy Moran, slabbed PR 1 due in part to severe side-to-side creasing. Three others have (MC) qualifiers and include the rookie card of HOFer Punch Broadbent (VG 3), HOFer Tom Dunderdale (GOOD 2) and #4-A. Atchinson (VG 3).
