Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
There’s no mistaking who this mid-1980s Edmonton Oilers equipment bag belonged to with its owner’s famous No. “99” displayed in white on the top and on both ends. Wayne Gretzky’s well-travelled blue and orange vinyl equipment bag with the Oilers logo displayed on both sides is about 28” long and roughly 16” wide on the bottom, tapered to approximately 13” on each end. Gretzky’s Oilers equipment bag was gifted to a gentleman whose vintage 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" snapshot of himself with the Great One in his Oilers practice jersey is included, with his handwritten text on the reverse stating that Wayne gave him this bag that day. Cool piece for a Gretzky shrine!
