Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Another in the line of impressive milestone puck displays celebrating the career of Vic Hadfield that originate from his personal collection and are available in this auction, we have the puck the 1000-game veteran used to secure his milestone 400th career point, which occurred vs the always deadly Montreal Canadiens, on Dec 26th, 1971. Hadfield would net a pair in the contest, with this his most successful season, finishing the 1971-72 campaign with 106-points including 50 goals. The Rangers’ game-puck is mounted to a thick, finished wooden shield plaque with beveled edges, with a gold-coloured metal plate mounted above, engraved with the details including “Vic Hadfield” and “400th National Hockey League Point”. The Blueshirts would win the important contest 5-1, with the milestone point Vic's 23rd goal of the season. A signed LOA from Mr. Hadfield will accompany.
The wooden plaque shows wear along the top section and around some edges, with expected wear to the puck including some darkening of the Rangers logo.
