Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
An absolute legend in Motown, Sergei Fedorov represented the mighty winged-wheel for over a dozen NHL seasons, culminating in three Stanley Cup championships in just six years. We have a Red Wings jersey worn by the HOF superstar during the 2002-03 NHL season, and it’s been photo-matched. Size “52” tagging appears along the collar with inserted “1”, with embroidered Reebok and NHL crests on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. The team patch is affixed to the inside hem, while a hologram from Hockeytown Authentics numbered “35484” has been taped to the collar, with a matching COA to accompany.
Styled with the famous Red Wings team crest that pays homage to the Montreal AAA, the solid red V-neck has been accented with white tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Fedorov” placed directly onto the jersey in individual letters. It should also be noted that the garment sports customized cuffs, with each slit open and reinforced. Game-wear includes numerous marks over the lower front band and sleeves, with dual team repairs over each sleeve. Getty Image #1748150 from Nov 16th 2000 has been matched to the particularities of the team crest (small loose thread + identifiable indentation), while Getty Image #1748123, also from Nov 16th, has been matched to the loose thread on top of the "1", and to the loose thread in the inside of the "9" both on the right sleeve. Lastly, Getty Image #52423183 (from 2002-03) has been matched to the series of black marks on the lower portion of the team crest. An additional LOA will accompany the aforementioned COA.
