Nice group of four goalie sticks from J.J. Daigneault’s collection include signed Mike Vernon and Mike Dunham gamers, a Sean Burke game-used stick, and a game-used stick attributed to Evgeni Nabokov, all with their original tape jobs. Vernon, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and 1997 Conn Smythe winner, signed in bold black marker at the bottom of the paddle of his Sharks Hespeler gamer. Dunham signed in blue marker at the bottom of the paddle of his Vic game-used stick. “Burke” is stamped on the shaft of Sean’s Brian’s game-used stick with his original tape job on the handle. Comes with J.J. Daigneault’s signed LOA.
Vernon’s signed Hespeler game-used stick has “Vernon” stamped on the shaft below his tape job on the knob. There is nice wear on the bottom edge of his teal blue tape job on the blade.
Dunham’s signed Vic 9050 game-used stick has Mike’s original tape job on the handle and “Dunham” factory stamped on the shaft below his tape job on the knob. There are black marks and nice wear on the bottom edge of his white tape job on the blade.
Burke’s Brian’s game-used stick has “Burke” stamped on the bottom side of the shaft and “Burke” factory printed high on the front of the shaft below his white tape job on the knob. Good game use shows in various puck and stick marks on the lower paddle and on Burke’s white tape job on the blade, which has good wear along the bottom edge. More game use shows in red goalpost paint transfer high on the back of the shaft.
A Montreal stick with tape jobs on the knob and blade and no name stamped on it is attributed to be an early Nabokov San Jose Sharks stick. It has black marks on the tape job on the blade and red goalpost paint transfer on the white tape job on the knob.
