Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Named most valuable player at the 2010 Winter Olympics hockey tournament, Ryan Miller backstopped the Americans to the silver medal, with the image of the dejected netminder face down after Sidney Crosby’s epic overtime winner well remembered by Americans and Canadians alike. This stick was used at the tournament by the Michigan native. A Reebok 6K model with “R. Miller” stamped, the original white tape is in place over the blade and knob, with white cloth wrap over the handle and upper paddle. “30 ER” is handwritten over the knob tape, with photos from the Olympics showing this on Miller’s sticks (he wore #39 during the Olympics, but #30 with the Sabres). Great use is shown, with puck marks visible along with wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, with additional marks to the paddle. Originally obtained in 2010 with numerous 2010 Winter Olympics items from each team in the tournament, an LOA will accompany.
