A veteran of over 1300 NHL contests, Czech defenceman Roman Hamrlik also represented his country on the international stage on a number of occasions, winning gold at both the European Junior Championships and at the Winter Olympics. This signed Islanders jersey was worn by the Gottwaldov native in the 2002 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s accompanied by a game-worn helmet from the same season. Size tagging sits along the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest partially embroidered in tri-colour tackle twill, the “Stanley Cup playoffs Set 1” jersey has been accented with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with an alternate crest over the right shoulder. Game-wear includes a few random marks present including over each sleeve. Roman has signed beneath his verso number in black marker, and the signature displays well. The team patch sits on the inside hem with a signature present from the trainer, with a matching LOA from the Islanders to accompany along with a COR from MeiGray. The helmet is a CCM model with all padding and strapping intact, with Islanders decals along each side. “4” has also been placed across the reverse, with light but definite use exhibited including abrasions along the top section.
