Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

The first 100-point scorer in Buffalo Sabres franchise history, Rene Robert starred with his French Connection linemates throughout the 1970s, with pairs of seasons to conclude his noteworthy career spent with Colorado and Toronto. We have a puck that was used by Robert to notch his 900th professional career point, occurring on Nov 24, 1981 vs Philadelphia. Assisted by Darryl Sittler, it was Robert’s 5th goal of the season, and 715th NHL point including playoffs (if you add the 185 points scored throughout his professional career up until that point including NHL playoffs but excluding other league playoffs, you get 900 total). If you include other league playoff points, this is actually career point #919. Featuring a rubberized Flyers logo with light wear and some minor darkening, a piece of paper affixed by now-yellowed clear tape has “Rene Robert 900 pt Nov 24/81” handwritten. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
