Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

HOF center Phil Esposito began his assault on NHL scoring records before leading the Big, Bad Bruins to two Stanley Cup titles in the early-1970s. In 1968-69, he set new assists (77) and points (126) records, the latter of which he broke two years later with 152 points, including a record 76 goals. Espo’s late-1960s Bruins Northland Custom Pro game-used stick has the “ESPOSITO” name stamp and "7" number stamp on the front and the Woody Dumart supplier stamp on both sides of the shaft. It is taped in Phil's typical knob style, wrapped in creamy cloth tape that has well-aged, and the blade is covered along its length in vintage oily bulldog-style tape. Awesome memento from one of the NHL’s greatest scorers.
The three black accent stripes low on the shaft are intact and there are very slight age cracks on the blade running in from the toe.
