This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
A true hero in every sense of the word, we have a Toronto Original Six Hockey Heroes jersey that was worn by superstar Paul Henderson in the 1980s, with this desirable jersey accompanied by a stick signed by past Leafs legends including Darryl Sittler, Johnny Bower, Ed Chadwick and others, along with a second stick signed by past NHL legends, including Henderson, as well as Stan Mikita, Eddie Giacomin, Bill Gadsby, Boom Boom Geoffrion and others. We also have five Original Six Oldtimers photos with Henderson including a team photo (all 8” x 10”), original “Happy Birthday” artwork of Henderson (11” x 13 ¼”), a Bobby Baun night program from 1973 (8 ½” x 11 ¼”) and more. A signed LOA from Paul Henderson will accompany.
The jersey has Maska Ultrafil labeling with “L” sizing along the collar, with a tackle twill team crest with chain-stitched detailing, with “19” and “Henderson” over the reverse in single blue twill. Light use is exhibited on the sweater, with a few random marks present, with some minor fraying to the reverse numbers/letters. The Leafs signed stick is solid white with Toronto graphics, with approx 33 signing one side of the shaft in matching blue, with the remaining signers to include Rod Seling, Brian Glennie, Jim Pappin, Rick Vaive, Dan Daoust and others. The second stick is a CCM Professional replica model, with approx 24 signing two sides of the shaft in black marker, with the remaining signers to include Pete Mahovlich, Carl Brewer, Ken Hodge, Gerry Cheevers, Milt Schmidt, Fern Flaman, John Bucyk, Paul Henderson, Mike Bossy, Bobby Baun, Johnny Bower, Norm Ullman and others. The photos show moderate wear, with no issues for the original artwork.
