A standout in the KHL with Sibir Novosibirsk and CSKA Moscow, Nikita Zaitsev signed an entry level contract with Toronto, in 2016. The Moscow native has also represented Russia internationally, including at the 2019 World Championships. This Leafs jersey was worn by Zaitsev in 2016-17. A label with “58” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “22” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized single navy twill, with “Zaitsev” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also sports the NHL centennial crest over the right sleeve, with a price tag from the team store affixed to the laundering tag. “2” has also been handwritten over the fight strap to denote second set. Exhibiting light to moderate game use with a few random marks visible including over the right sleeve and beneath the front left shoulder, there are also a few very small holes near the right cuff. Getty Image #647639260 has been matched to the distinctive mark directly beneath the front left shoulder, and specifically to its exact shape and placement. The team patch numbered “G0083” is situated over the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs.
