A stalwart supporter of Swedish hockey throughout his entire life thus far and having suited up for the national “Tre Kronor” squad on numerous occasions, Johan Garpenlov forged out a 609 game NHL career while also helping his native Sweden win a pair of World Championship gold medals in 1991 and 1992. Offered here, is this Team Sweden jersey worn by Garpenlov at the 1991 Canada Cup and its been photo-matched! Made and tagged in inner collar by Tackla with a size “XL” designation, the lightweight all-mesh garment features sublimated graphics in yellow with blue accenting along with the “Labatt Canada Cup” event logo in matching sublimated style over the left breast with the Tackla logo over the right. “Garpenlov” is spelt out in sublimated blue letters across the affixed matching mesh nameplate that is sewn above Johan’s number “15”. Sporting good game-wear, board burns and light stick marks are observed over the double layered lower sleeves while additional stick marks of a darker variety are found over both the lower front and left hip/lower reverse as well. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the jersey is matched with Garpenlov's 1991-92 Upper Deck Canada Cup card (which will accompany the piece) that shows the long black stick mark at the left hip area. A rare and desirable game-worn gem from the top international series of the period, don't let this one pass you by
