Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
An attention grabbing two item lot from the end of the 1960s Toronto Maple Leafs dynasty is this one featuring a 1967-68 York Peanut Butter glass of Leafs goalie, Johnny Bower, and a 1967 Stanley Cup Semi-Finals program from April 18th vs the Chicago Black Hawks. The Bower glass shows a portrait of the netminder on one side while the other shows a diagram of a referee’s interference call. Measuring 5 ¾” tall with a 3” rim circumference, the tumbler remains in high-grade with just the odd tiny scratch and no wear or fading to the applied graphics, and no chips or cracks. The program hails from game 6 of the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals. The Leafs would take the game 3-1 and clinch the series 4 game to 2 on their way to Cup Finals matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. Measuring 8 ½” x 11”, Dave Keon graces the cover with all 80 pages complete, intact and unmarked. The front and back covers show marks and toning with light tears and creasing around the edges.
