The first New Jersey-born goaltender to play in the NHL, Anthony Stolarz was selected in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by Philadelphia, and saw action in parts of two seasons with the club. Stolarz also represented the US at the World Juniors. This photo-matched "Electrified Origins" mask was worn by Stolarz during his rookie campaign with the Flyers in 2016-17. A Bauer model with Innegra shell and intact cage, back plate and interior padding, the paint scheme was executed by DaveArt (signed on the forehead) and features a design the artist describes as “an action packed design loaded with Philly orange electricity... It is so over charged with electricity so the mask is ripped open, and the ripped openings are shaped like the awesome Philly logo.” The back plate has “Stolie” along with Rule #76 from the film Wedding Crashers, of “No Excuses, Play Like a Champion”. While Stolarz saw action in 7 contests with Philly during his rookie season, he also played in 29 games for AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley, with an image on the listing showing Stolarz also wearing the mask with the Phantoms. A Bauer storage/carry bag will accompany the mask.
Exhibiting moderate game-use with a small pattern of chips over the forehead, there is also some edge chipping in areas including the chin section, with a few additional surface scratches and abrasions visible. Furthermore, Getty Images #664096578 (April 2, 2017) and #668785980 (April 9, 2017) have both been matched to the chipping pattern on the forehead. Lastly, Getty Images #666101428 (April 1, 2017) has been matched to the puck marks on the top right-side strap, to a few tiny chips along the bottom right edge, and to all the graphics that are an exact match on the right side.
