Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A pair of goaltenders sticks from Dominik Hasek and Andrei Trefilov is featured in this lot, along with a rarely offered New York Islanders equipment bag attributed to Pierre Turgeon. First, the Hasek stick is a late-1990s Bauer Reactor 5000 model with “Hasek” stamped, with the blade and paddle taped, with heavy use present on the stick including numerous puck marks to the front side blade and paddle (there is also a crack to the paddle). As the knob has never been taped, the stick could have possibly been used by Hasek in practices, but not in games. The star keeper has placed a black marker signature on the upper paddle. The Trefilov stick was used with Calgary in 1994-95, with the Heaton Helite III model sporting “A Trefilov” stamped, with the original white tape over the blade and knob. Light game-use is shown with chipping and a small separation to the fiberglass along the top edge of the paddle. The Islander equipment bag is solid navy with red accents and shows light to moderate use, with Islanders logos screened to each side, with the zipper operational. The bag has been attributed to Turgeon due to an attached Air Canada tag with his name listed (two other airline tags are also attached).
