Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
From the twilight of his remarkable HOF career that witnessed winning more Stanley Cup championships than any other player, we have a signed stick used by Henri Richard during the early-1970s with the Montreal Canadiens. A Victoriaville Pro model with “Richard” and “16” stamped to the upper shaft and slightly faded, most of the striping accents in Habs colours are intact (clear tape has been added to the top accent), with the original black tape over the blade and white applied to the knob and top of the handle (this differs from the usual black tape over the knob on Richard gamers, but with the tape period and everything else matching, the stick has use attributed to Richard). Moderate game-use is showing on the vintage lumber, with wear to the blade including the underside, with a chip at the heel. Richard has signed the upper shaft in black marker, with the signature displaying nicely.
