Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
From the 1989-90 NHL season where Quebec managed only 31 points, we have a pair of sticks used by Nordiques netminders Greg Millen and Sergei Mylnikov. First, the Millen is a Canadien 960 model in solid black with “Millen” stamped (partially covered), with the original black tape on the blade and white over the knob with handwritten “31”. The stick shows heavy use with cracks to the blade and underside with additional wear including marks and abrasions to the shaft. The Mylnikov stick is a Sher-Wood PMPG model with “Mylnikov” and “34” stamped-on, with the original white tape in place over the blade, upper shaft and knob. Light to moderate use is exhibited, with a faint signature visible over the now-yellowing blade tape. Lastly, the Reebok socks worn by Jones are in Kings’ road colours with an “L” size label at the top of each along with a small “Jones” sticker. They show nice wear, with no obtrusive holes or damage.
