Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
Originally produced to present to individuals who contributed to the Montreal Canadiens centennial festivities and hailing directly from the archives of the storied club, we have a “Centennial Game” shadowbox display that includes one of the original 100 pucks used in the historic Dec 4, 2009 contest, along with a stick blade that also saw use in the game – with this according to the affixed plaque. At just under 22” x 29”, the puck with Centennial logo has been inserted above, with the blade below, centered by an 8” x 10” photo of Habs legends Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard and Yvan Cournoyer posing with Lord Stanley’s hardware. The aforementioned plaque sports the particulars in French, with a bit of wear to the frame to note including a few blemishes, and please note that due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
