Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

An Edmonton Oilers draft selection in 2010, Martin Marincin spent time in the AHL and WHL before making his NHL debut, in 2013-14. Parts of two seasons would be spent skating for the Oilers before being traded to Toronto, on June 27, 2015. Acquired directly from the Maple Leafs, we have a photo-matched jersey worn by the Czech in 2016-17, his second season in Ontario. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “52” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with “Marincin” across the sewn nameplate in matching material. The fight strap also sports a handwritten “1” to denote a “Set 1” garment. Exhibiting moderate game-use, there is a large clump of team repairs and board burns over the lower right sleeve, with another small group of repairs on the right shoulder. A few additional faint burns are also visible, including on the upper left sleeve. Getty Image #622250746 (Nov 9, 2016 vs Los Angeles) has been matched to the set of team repairs on the right shoulder, and specifically to their shape and placement. The board burns and team repair on the lower right sleeve is also visible. The team patch numbered “G-0072” is affixed to the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany from the Leafs.
