Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
A faithful reproduction of the original that once proudly hung in the Canadiens' dressing room at the hallowed Montreal Forum, we have a wooden plaque commemorating the Stanley Cup champion 1959-60 Montreal Canadiens, with this modern specimen produced for display at the Bell Centre. Celebrating what no other club has ever achieved as five-time consecutive champions, the plaque is slightly smaller than the original at approx 10” x 12”, with a full colour Habs logo added along the top with “1959” and “1960”, with the players and management listed in two rows including HOF members Plante, Harvey, Beliveau, the Richard brothers and others. Exhibiting light wear including surface scratches, the plaque is ready for display in your hockey shrine. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
