Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

The big blueish paint transfer mark on the lower left sleeve of HOF forward Glenn Anderson’s 1989 world championship Team Canada game-worn jersey provides a pair of solid photo matches. Tackla and size XXL flag tags sit in the collar of Anderson’s No. 18 white and red light mesh Canada gamer from a silver medal effort in Stockholm. Anderson contributed two goals and four points in six games after joining the team following Edmonton’s first-round elimination from the 1989 Stanley Cup playoffs. Originally from Alan Eagleson’s personal collection, the jersey has customized sleeve cuffs and more game wear shows in black marks and red paint transfer on the front tail, red paint transfer on the back of the right hip and the right sleeve.
This Anderson 1989 Team Canada IIHF world championship game-worn jersey is photo-matched by two digital images that each show the big blueish paint transfer marks on the lower left sleeve. The hastily sewn-on nameplate with blue thread on part of the outline covers another nameplate beneath it, with the first letters of his last name further to the left.
