Joined by those of fellow Hall of Famers Glenn Hall and Norm Ullman as key rookies cards in Topps' 1957-58 issue is that of longtime Boston Bruin great Johnny Bucyk. After an early-career trade from Detroit to Boston, Bucyk kept going and going, to the tune of 556 career goals, his leadership qualities and fine play helping the Bruins to the club's first Stanley Cup championship in 29 years in 1969-70. "Chief" potted 31 regular season goals and added 11 playoff markers as Boston "went all the way". The offered Bucyk RC features appealing centering and has received an apparent generous grade of 6.5 ENM+ from KSA, with corner wear and specs of color loss both front and back to consider. A couple of scuffs to the front of the holder and light scratches on the back of it are also to note. A two-time Lady Byng Trophy recipient for gentlemanly/efficient play, Bucyk was a big-time big leaguer for 23 seasons.
