Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Forever immortalized as the first netminder to regularly don facial protection, Jacques Plante remains one of the greatest goaltenders in history, with his early passing in 1986 leaving a void for autograph collectors. We have just that, with a postcard from the early-1970s, circa 1970-71, signed by the legendary keeper (Plante was with the Leafs for three seasons, from 1970-71, to 1972-73). At 3 ½” x 5 ½”, the postcard pictures the HOF member in his full Leafs uniform, with Jacques adding a large, gorgeous and bold dark marker signature with no issues whatsoever. The postcard itself shows just very light corner wear and toning. This is one of the nicest Plante postcard signatures we have ever seen.
