Three-time OHL champions, competing for the Memorial Cup five times, the Ottawa 67’s are the namesake of our country’s centennial, established the year Canada celebrated it’s 100th birthday. This lot offers a pair of 67’s rings, with an example for the 1998-99 Memorial Cup championship, along with a second 67’s ring for the 2000-01 J. Ross Robertson Cup championship. First, the 1998-99 Memorial Cup ring is size 13 with an approx weight of 30 grams, with a 67’s logo over the top inset with zirconias (one is missing and others look replaced), encompassed by “Memorial Cup Champions 1998”. The inner band is also stamped "LTM" (lustrium, looks like stainless steel). The 2000-01 J. Ross Robertson Cup ring is size 12 with an approx weight of 37 grams, with the trophy raised over the tableau amid a field of zirconias, encompassed by “Ontario Hockey League Champions 2001”. The inner band is also stamped "AST Jostens”.
To add further details, the 1998-99 Memorial Cup ring has a raised image of the Memorial Cup over the left shank with “Tank” above and “GJ” below, while the right features a CHL logo with “Staff” placed in a banner above. The ring exhibits heavy wear from use, with numerous small scratches, nicks and small gouges throughout. The 2000-01 J. Ross Robertson Cup ring also sports a team logo with “Tank” above and “GJ” below on the left shank, and a CHL logo with “Highest Average Attendance” above and “#1” below on the right. Wear from use is also exhibited on this second ring, with numerous small scratches and nicks over the band.
