The 4th overall selection at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Roberto Luongo guarded NHL creases for almost two decades, spending parts of 11 seasons with Florida in two separate tenures with the club. This photo-matched Panthers jersey was worn by the 2010 Olympic gold medal winner in 2018-19, his final NHL season, specifically from Oct 6th, through Jan 13th. An Adidas band with “60G” sizing resides within the collar, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a multi-coloured tackle twill team crest with embroidered detailing, “1” appears over the verso in ventilated twill, with the Panthers 25th anniversary crest over the right breast. The team patch denoting the garment as a “Set 1” example has been placed over the inside hem (with “TR” initialed for Head Equipment Manager Teddy Richards), with a COA from the Florida Panthers to accompany.
Showing nice game-use with puck marks over the upper front, there is also some red paint transfer over the right elbow. Getty Image #1062025754 (Nov 15, 2018) has been matched to the pair of marks above the 25th patch, and to the small black mark on the left breast, while Getty Images #1094295928 (Jan 8, 2019) has been matched to the black mark above the top right corner of the team crest, and to the two black marks on the left breast.
