Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Some fun to be had with this miscellaneous grab bag of cards, mostly from the 1950s and '60s, with an emphasis on goalies and led chronologically by one '51-52 Parkie; a Chuck Rayner rookie card is Fair with multiple light creases but no back damage. Another goalie, Sugar Jim Henry, is one of two '52-53 Parkhurst representatives, with his VG-in-appearance card measuring short and looking trimmed. A VG 103-Jim Conacher card is the other '52-53 rep. Terry Sawchuk (F, with side-to-side creasing) is the big name among (14) '53-54 cards, with a dozen in decent crease-free VG-EX shape. Half a dozen '54-55s are hammered with a tape-stained Tim Horton joined by goalies McNeil, Lumley (2), Henry and Rollins. Also low grade are a few more from the '50s and (21) from '62-63, with however the star power including Howe, Keon (2), Bower, Geoffrion, Mahovlich, Richard and Delvecchio, with a Bobby Rousseau RC (VG) best condition-wise. .....Meanwhile, the Topps contingent is more plentiful and interesting, with however condition not any better in the late-'50s and early-'60s segment. Sawchuk ('57-58)(F), Shack RC ('58-59)(P) and Hull ('59-60)(P) are notable, as are two Hall cards ('61-62)(G), ('62-63)(P) and then things improve with nine from '65-66. Two Gerry Cheevers rookie cards (VG+, P) and a Paul Henderson RC (VG)(MC) are accompanied by Hall of Famers Bower (EX)(ST), Gilbert (VG) and Pulford (VG-EX). Then from '66-67 are 45 cards, most of them VG or a little lesser, with 2-Worsley, 11-Imlach, 16-Stanley, 20-Pronovost, 21-Francis RC (F), 59-Pilote and 65-Hodge/Worsley Vezina (VG-EX) the most notable. All goalies are featured in (9)(G to VG) '67-68 cards and include Bower and Giacomin and All-Star cards of Hall and Giacomin. A '68-68 Giacomin (EX), a dozen mostly EX-or-better '69-70s (Mikita, Hall) and a '70-71 Wayne Cashman RC (EX-MT+) complete the lot.
