Making NHL All-Star Game appearances in 2012 and 2015, netminder Brian Elliot’s career has included guarding the nets of four different NHL clubs including St Louis and Philadelphia, with the William M. Jennings Trophy earned for lowest GAA, in 2011-12. From his lone season in Alberta, we have a Calgary Flames jersey worn by the Newmarket native during the 2016-17 Stanley Cup playoffs. A “Goalie Style” label with handwritten “1” sits over a “58” size tag, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic Flames team crest in layered tackle twill, “1” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the NHL centennial crest over the right sleeve. The jersey also sports a Canadian flag patch over the left shoulder, with an Alberta shield crest over the right. We should note that according to the accompanying LOA from the Flames, the jersey is the “A” example from Set 3 of the Away Set jerseys produced for 2016-17, and was worn for part of each away game during the 2016-17 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. Featuring a few dark marks encompassing the team crest including a large and thick stick mark that goes across the team crest, there are also a few additional marks over each sleeve. The team patch resides on the inside hem near the intact fight strap with handwritten “3”.
