Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Despite placing a mere 7th in the Western Conference in 1993-94, the Vancouver Canucks would advance past Calgary, Dallas and Toronto before facing a determined New York Rangers squad in the Stanley Cup finals. Awarded for Vancouver’s status as Western Conference playoff champions in 1993-94, we have the Clarence Campbell championship trophy originally presented to the team’s assistant medical trainer, David Schima. At 11” in height, the silver-plated handled cup with removable lid and chased detailing sits atop a hexagon-shaped 3-inch wooden base and is engraved “David Schima – Vancouver Canucks – 1993-94” on one side, with the name of the trophy and its "1968" year of inception on the other. Schima’s tenure with the Canucks was from 1991 to 2000, with his signed LOA to accompany.
Exhibiting surface wear throughout, there is some minor spotting in areas, with a bit of surface loss over the handles and at the base of the bowl. We should also note that the trophy was cleaned at some point.
