Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Accompanied by a trio of rarely seen newsprint advertisements, we have a complete set of 48 photo cards issued by the Toronto Star during the 1964-65 NHL season. This complete set feature’s stars from all six teams, including Boston's Boivin, Green and Johnson, Chicago's Hall, Hay, Hull, Mikita and Pilote, Detroit's Delvecchio, Howe, Ullman and Pronovost (misspelled Provost!), Montreal's Beliveau, Laperriere and Richard, New York's Gilbert, Howell and Plante, and Toronto's Bathgate, Horton, Keon and Mahovlich. The 4 ¼” x 5 ¼” cards are all captioned and remain in very good condition, with light to moderate corner wear the biggest concern. The original newsprint ads are all approx 10 ½” x 13 ½”, with two in colour (one is laminated) and one in black and white. Each exhibits minimal wear and toning.
