Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
First representing Team Canada while still a teenager, Shayne Corson has donned the maple leaf on numerous occasions, including at the Canada Cup, World Championships and Winter Olympics. Seeing action in six games at the 1998 Games in Nagano, we have a pair of gloves that were worn at the tournament by the Midland native. Easton Pro 4400 models in solid black with Team Canada red and white accents, “Corson” is screened over each wrist guard, with a Hockey Canada decal added over the left thumb. The gloves have been sewn together, with the thumbs pointing outward (please see our online imagery), with the “PLD” logo removed from the base of the left thumb. The gloves show excessive wear including heavy rubbing to the leather, and with Corson only playing in six games along with imagery from the Games showing less wear, the gloves were used further, possibly by another player.
