Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

One of the most beloved and collected of all past Montreal Canadiens, we have a highly desirable Habs training jacket that was sported by a young Ken Dryden during his time with the Bleu Blanc Rouge in the early-to-mid-1970s, accompanied by a PSA/DNA encapsulated and authenticated signed postcard. Featuring European Adidas labeling along the collar with a “9” size tag, the vintage tracksuit top measures-out to a North American size 56. Styled with a chain-stitched Canadiens logo over the left breast, Dryden’s iconic “29” graces the right breast, administered in layered red, white and blue tackle twill. With just age and storage wear present, there is a light stain over the front waist band, with a bit of minor fraying to the chest numbers.
The PSA/DNA signed postcard has been encapsulated as “Authentic” and hails from roughly the same era as the jacket, with Ken adding a thick and well-executed blue fiber-tip marker signature over the lower right corner, with the second half of the autograph blending into the postcard’s darker background somewhat. The postcard itself is in lower technical grade, with worn corners, edge chipping and a few visible creases. There is also a partially-erased price notation handwritten over the upper right corner on the reverse.
